Here’s mud in your eye
For some time now dating back say 10-15 years there seems to be a lack of mudguards on today’s modern motorcycles. In particular, that almost invisible front mudguard that allows all kinds of rubbish and mud to gather on the oil cooler and lower engine cases. My 2006 Triumph Sprint ST is a culprit of this and I spend countless hours cleaning the gunk out of the front of the engine and surrounds. Then there’s the rear mudguard if you can call it that; where is it? It would appear the design engineers forgot to put a rear mudguard on the bike and mounted that bracket setup thingy on the swing arm or somewhere nearby. What a joke. It would substitute as a fishing rod holder if it was mounted out the front.
I just can’t understand why the rear mudguard; first of all, isn’t part of the motorcycle itself, and isn’t a full guard starting near the swing arm and continuing down to say the rear axle height. On my Classic bikes I
