darling drapes

This project uses a sewing machine, but all you need to know is a basic running stitch. I made one panel here as my window isn’t very wide, but you can just as easily make two. To make the process quick and simple, this curtain has ribbon ties along the top, so there is no fiddly business with pelmets, pleats and suchlike.

MATERIALS

- curtain fabric- curtain lining- wide ribbon- tape measure- right-angled ruler- pins- rotary cutter and cutting mat (these are preferable, but scissors would be fine)- fabric scissors- fabric pen (or chalk or pencil)- sewing machine- needle and thread- curtain
