Like Queen Camilla, Lorraine Barlow, 63, has always enjoyed a love of dance, having done ballet and tap from the age of four. She loved the piano music, and fondly remembers taking part in a show as she grew up in the Rossendale Valley, Lancashire. Only, as she got older and went to secondary school, she stopped dancing. It was nearly 50 years before she took it up again, after a friend mentioned she’d joined an adult ballet class. ‘It sounded great, and I loved the idea of doing ballet again,’ says Lorraine.
