SLEEP APNOEA

Most people with this don’t even know it

Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a common disorder – but around 80 per cent of people with this condition are unaware that they have it.

WHAT CAUSES IT?

Sleep apnoea occurs when airways become partially or completely blocked during sleep. People with OSA can stop breathing for anywhere between 10 to 90 seconds, causing them to briefly wake up before dozing off again.
