Clutching my partner Ollie’s hand, I was full of excitement.

It was April 2023, and I’d waddled in for my 20-week scan. The sonographer had just told us we were having a baby boy, but then he peered at the screen more intently.

‘Something doesn’t look right with his heart,’ he frowned.

My bubble of happiness burst, and my heart started to pound with panic.

‘We think your baby has a congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF),’
