Communities vow to keep new leaders on their toes

MIXED EXPECTATIONS

COMMUNITY leaders around Durban have warned that they will keep the new parties elected after the polls accountable, to ensure that they deliver on their promises of service delivery.

As the DA garnered the majority of votes in Phoenix and Chatsworth, and the MK Party (MKP) surpassed 1.5 million votes, securing 45.34% of the votes in KwaZulu-Natal, activists said the results were an indication of a desire for change after years of frustration over poor service delivery.
