    JAIL IS NO BARRIER FOR TRUMP’S RUN

    Former president defies legal setback

    DESPITE being convicted in a landmark trial in New York, Donald Trump has stated that “nothing will change” in his pursuit of the White House. Trump was recently found guilty of manipulating business documents to hide payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign. This verdict marks the first time an American president has been convicted of a criminal offence.

    Trump, however, has denounced the trial as biased and accused the prosecution of being politically motivated. He is scheduled to be sentenced on 11 July, but experts say it’s unlikely he’ll serve jail time as
