97 QuintEssential Portside American Single Malt Whiskey (USA; Cedar Ridge Distillery, Swisher, IA). With a distinctly nutty aroma, this silky single malt opens with concentrated pecan pie and maple, evolving into dried dates and figs. It finishes with hints of orange peel and cinnamon tingle. Aged in ex-bourbon casks for six years and finished in casks that previously held ruby port and amontillado sherry, as well as virgin French oak casks. Limited edition.
