Is it right to bring a child into our broken world?

Q My partner and I want a baby, but I am filled with anxiety at the thought of bringing a child into this world and increasing the carbon footprint. All I can think of is what harm I might do to the planet if I have a child, and what kind of world they might have left to live in. Is it just me who feels this way? How do people make the moral choice to have children in the face of all of this chaos?
