Not too many people have heard of Beverley, though the odds increase drastically north of Birmingham. But there is another Beverley that might spring to mind… America’s most sought-after postcode, 90210, is thought to take after Beverley, East Yorkshire. The link is a little convoluted, but Beverley Hills is thought be named after Beverly Farms in Massachusetts, which is thought to have been named after the Yorkshire town by British settlers in 1668.
