V Rising was something of a viral hit when it went into Early Access in 2022. All the biggest streamers were playing it, then it topped the Steam charts and was the hot game of the moment. Two years later, its Early Access journey is coming to an end, with big plans for the 1.0 release.

At first glance, V Rising looks like an ARPG, with a camera view, HUD and gameplay similar to the likes of . But once you get past the first moments, it becomes clear this is not your typical ARPG, and is instead a survival crafting game in which you collect resources, build your castle and increase your power level before taking on some of the biggest foes in the vampire world, and that’s before you add in the possibility of fighting other players.
