I like the idea of taking progress shots of my drawings like I see in your magazine but am having issues getting good enough results with my digital SLR. I don’t know why but every shot I take of drawings look like an old sepia toned box Brownie took it,

Hi Jim,
It’s a subject unto itself taking photos let alone digital images of drawings in progress. I had been doing it for many years with film SLR’s and had to learn to think about things a bit (lot) different when it all went to pixels. It always seems to freak out the digital sensors trying to take images of white paper and the earlier in the drawing project the worse the effect. A blank white surface is a fascinatingly difficult thing to capture for several reasons actually. It freaks out the auto-focus so much you have to turn it off and
