God’s interactions in the Old Testament often involve people in desperate situations. Our character for this month, Sarah, is one of those early encounters.
Attractive features
Sarah features prominently in Abraham’s account in Genesis, and several important character qualities are evident. First, she is the patriarch Abraham’s wife; she bears him Isaac, the promised son of the covenant. Along with this, she was a wife of a man who had a substantial household, one that produced 318 “trained servants who were born in his own house” (Gen 14:14). She must have been an extremely capable woman.
Second, Sarah was renowned for
