Robert Burns is one of our greatest Scots – a poet and lyricist, who while famous in his lifetime has been elevated to iconic status since his death over 225 years ago.

Today, visitors from across the world – many of whom travel from North America – visit the little cottage in Alloway, Ayrshire, where Robert Burns was born on 25 January 1759 and where the very first Burns Supper was held in 1801.
