Connor, the Master of Hounds (14)

As soon as he was able to walk, Connor took part in all forms of hunting but particularly beagling, as his family has its own pack. He was awarded the Association of Masters of Harriers and Beagles Young Hunter Award in 2022, and in 2023 was named Best Young Handler at the West of England Hound Show – the same year he became a Master of Hounds aged only 13.

Inspirational mentor: Betty McKeever, who became Master of the Blean Beagles in 1909, aged eight, is quite an inspiration to me.

Best thing about the countryside: I love the open, flowing landscapes that cover the countryside and enjoy viewing the wide variety of wildlife that roams across them.
