When a copy of The Vertical Axis: Memoirs of Pymble Pool and its Place in Australian Skateboarding History arrived on my doorstep, the package was so heavy that I thought they'd mistakenly sent me multiple copies. Surely there weren't enough photos of a 50-year-old pool to fill a book this size. I couldn't have been more wrong.

Compiled, edited, and published by Aussie skateboarding royalty, Jon McGrath (you might know him as Johnny), The Vertical Axis is a hardcover, 166-page collector's item, comprised of 22 memoirs and more than 170 photos of insane pool riding.
