I had a very smart old Series III Lightweight trailered in with a charging system issue. It was a 24-volt FFR (Fitted For Radio) vehicle which complicated things rather: these vehicles use a very large generator feeding various control boxes and relays whose purpose is not always easy to determine. The owner had got as far as unbolting the generator before deciding that he was a little out of his depth.
