PRIMITIVE Makes Perfect

DIANE GARDNER has been intrigued with primitive style for as long as she can remember. As a child, she visited Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, an outdoor history museum that depicts a rural New England town of the early 19th century, and she recalls being enamored with the architecture. “I remember wishing I could have a house like that someday,” Diane reflects. “When I met my husband, Keith, we shared the same taste, so it was fun to go out and find neat pieces for our home.”
