Most of us enjoyed singing as kids. Eventually, many of us stop doing it so frequently – but it doesn’t have to be that way. In fact, Gerald Marko, a voice coach and lecturer at Monash University, says melody is deeply ingrained in all of us, even in the way we speak.
“The human voice is part of our unique identity if you like, and it’s essential to express ourselves either communicatively or creatively,” he explains.
