CONDOR ISLANDER

In March 2023 Condor Ferries acquired StraitNZ’s ro-pax ferry Straitsman for service on the company’s link between Portsmouth and the Channel Islands. After a refurbishment, she emerged as Condor Islander and entered service in October 2023.

This was the first ‘new’ ship to enter service with Condor since 1999, when arrived from the Van der Giessen de Noord yard Krimpen a/d Ijssel in the Netherlands, where she had been completed in May 1999. She replaced two ferries, and , and has maintained passenger services year-round from Portsmouth to both since 2015 and since 2021.
