I ONCE ASKED Terry Funk why he dialed back on his acting career and again focused on wrestling. “They stopped calling me,” he joked. Then, he gave me a more philosophical answer.
“You can’t just sit down at the piano one day and play a concerto,” Funk said. “You have to study for years. The younger you start, the easier it is. If you start playing the piano at five years old, you don’t even realize it’s hard. By the time you’re 18 or 20, my God, you can play a beautiful tune … In acting, you’re remembering lines and trying to breathe life into a character. You’re
