AUSTIN 8 SURVIVOR STORY

The Austin 8 was the car that followed the better-known Austin 7. Production of these cars started in 1939 and finished sometime in 1947, although production was interrupted for a while by the World War II. Several were repurposed for military use as staff cars, while many of the tourers were pressed into service as runabouts for pilots. Altogether, over 100,000 of these cars were produced.
