WORKING 9-5 FROM THE ROAD

Many RVers and van-lifers are either retired or work for themselves through content creation, freelancing, and other gigs that offer the flexibility that is necessary for a life on the road. I was one of them, but after starting my remote, 9–5 job, I was surprised to find full-time, traditional work more beneficial to sustaining my time on the road.

It's one of the most commonly asked questions in any van-lifer's YouTube video or Q&A session on Instagram. There might be variations—“How do you support yourself?” “How are you funding your travels?”—but the idea behind the question remains the same: “What do you do for work?”
