What do we want? Climate action!

Of course, readers of New Internationalist want to see action to address climate change. But we’re in the minority, right?

A huge new global study has not only proven this assumption to be wrong, but also a significant barrier to change.

A survey of 130,000 people in 125 countries found that 86 per cent believed that people should try As many as 89 per cent of people asked wanted their governments to do more, and a startling 69 per cent would be willing to give up 1 per cent of their income to tackle the climate crisis.
