Zendaya and Florence Pugh are still figuring it out. Their uncertainty is a mind-boggling concept to anyone who’s closely followed the young stars’ sky-rocketing careers over the past few years.

They’ve amassed creative recognition through their work with directors like Christopher Nolan, Greta Gerwig and Luca Guadagnino; critical praise at the Golden Globes, Emmys, BAFTAs and Oscars; and millions of social media followers to validate their successes. But somehow, they still face the spectre of imposter syndrome.

“There’s a level of anxiety,” says Zendaya. “It’s like, Oh, man. Can I do this? Do I belong here?”

Pugh agrees. “I don’t think there’s a movie I’ve done where I haven’t still been worried that I might get fired,” she says. “That’s just constantly running through my head. I think, This is it,” she chuckles. “They’ve got the duplicate outfit
