Laboratory Test Report

Newport Test Labs first measured the power output of ‘Channel 1’ into an eight-ohm load at three different frequencies — 20Hz, 1kHz and 20kHz — and, as you can see from the tabulated results and bar graph, the Adcom GFA-5705 returned a result of 325 watts (25.1dBW) at each of the three test frequencies. This is not only a very high power output but also considerably higher than Adcom’s specification of 200 watts.

The test lab then repeated the same test but this time drove both Channel 1 and 2 simultaneously, and you can see that the Adcom delivered an identical result — the exact same output at all three test frequencies.
