YOU WILL NEED

♥ DK yarn in 100g Charity DK in the following colours: School Grey, Rhino, Porcelain, Tiger Cerise, Neutral, Tan, and 2 × 100g in Charcoal
♥ 4mm crochet hook
♥ tapestry needle size 18
♥ pair of scissors
♥ 12 × stitch markers in different colours (2 sets numbered 1-6)
♥ 6 × 12mm diameter pearl shank buttons
♥ 2m × 12mm wide woven/satin ribbon
♥ 4 × strips of paper, 10 × safety pins, pen
♥ measuring tape

SPECIAL STITCHES

Puff stitch (puff st): (yo, insert hook into sp indicated, yo, pull yarn up to height of a dc) 4 times, yo, pull through all loops on hook, ch 1.

V stitch (v st): tr into sp indicated, ch 2, tr into same sp, ch 1.

Triple V stitch (trip v st): 3 dtr into sp indicated, ch 3, 3 dtr into same sp.

NOTE

This garment consists of 4 parts: 2 × rows of 4 Puffy Flower blocks each for the shoulder and upper sleeve, 2 × 6-cornered granny squares with added rows to shape it as the 2 body parts (fronts, under arms and backs). Please remember ch 1 as part of special sts described above.

Remember to alternate colours when making chains (alternate colour technique rnd 6 of puffy flower).

TO CROCHET

Puffy flower block (make 8) With 4mm crochet hook and School Grey, ch 4. Close to form a circle by working slst into first ch made.

Rnd 1: Ch 3, work 8 puff sts into circle, slst into top of first puff st made, fasten off.

Rnd 2: Join Rhino into any of the 1-ch-sps in rnd 1, ch 4, tr into same sp, ch 1, (work 2 puff sts into next 1-ch-sp, work v st into next 1-ch-sp) 3 times, work 2 puff sts into next 1-ch-sp, slst into 4-ch-sp at beg of rnd 2, fasten off.

Join Porcelain into any 2-ch-sp created by v st in rnd 2, ch 3, work 2 puff sts into same sp, (work 1 puff st into next 1-ch-sp, work 2 puff sts into next 1-ch-sp, work
