Winter houseplant tips

Izolda has some great tips for indoor gardening this season.

Grooming

Keep plants dust-free by wiping off the leaves with a damp cloth. Baby wet wipes are very handy for this job. Also, remove dead or dying foliage and spent flower stalks.

Feeding

Plant growth slows down in winter when feeding them should be discontinued. Warmer weather in early spring will encourage new growth spurts again, telling us to resume feeding. At the end of August, you can slowly ease into normal fertilising with
