Tend to your potted garden
• Prepare empty pots for new plants by giving them a good scrub with soapy water, to which some household bleach has been added.• If you want a new look, paint them• Rejuvenate large containers housing permanent feature plants by removing the top layer of old potting soil and replacing it with a mix of fresh potting soil and compost enriched with a slow-releasing general fertiliser. Water well afterwards and add a finishing layer of decorative mulch.
