When I first started editing woman&home, I knew that I wanted to introduce some new faces to the magazine. You, our brilliant readers, have for almost 14 years, Alex is a regular in our living rooms. Cool, calm and confident, it’s hard to believe that, by her own admission, she was once a shy youngster who never expected to be the successful broadcaster she is now. But, she explains, ‘My mum always said to me, “If you get a chance to do something you want to do, do it and give it 100%.”’ Those words resonate with me because how many of us have opportunities that we don’t fully embrace or make the most of? We really can be the architects of our own design, and giving 100% is the least we owe ourselves – because little things ultimately make big things happen.
