AS A BIRDKEEPER with a single large outside aviary, each year I find myself deciding whether to use this space as a breeding aviary for a few pairs or as a holding aviary for approximately half of my flock.
Now, admittedly, a breeding aviary doesn't make the best use of the space, but it does provide some entertainment during those summer days as I sit outside with a cuppa watching theirabout seeing a flock of Gouldian finches or chestnut-breasted with their young all together on a perch.
