    HEIRESS DONATES $27-MILLION FORTUNE

    She says the super-rich accumulate money like ‘a magnet’

    AUSTRIAN heiress Marlene Engelhorn, a fervent advocate for wealth equality, has taken a bold stand by giving away most of her $27m (R486m) fortune.

    The 32-year-old, whose wealth originates from the German chemical and pharmaceutical giant BASF, previously said she didn’t know what to do with her vast fortune.

    Earlier this year she set up a committee of 50 people and tasked them with deciding how to distribute the millions she inherited from her grandmother, Traudl Engelhorn-Vechiatto, who died in September 2022. The family are descendants
