Over-saturation can make it easy to become jaded. Even the most ardent Marvel fans found their interest waning when four movies and three TV shows were being released every year to the point that Disney has pumped the brakes on the MCU, releasing only one film in 2024. As Disney’s other mega-property, it feels like Star Wars is teetering ever closer to a similar enforced hiatus. During the last five years, we’ve seen eight seasons of six separate live-action TV series set in a galaxy far, far away, along with seven seasons of animated shows and specials and the release of four Star Wars videogames with another four to five in development (depending on who you ask). It’s a lot of Star Wars.
