Jam-packed with fun

The memories came flooding back when I read The Glories of Guiding [16 April issue]. I was a Brownie and a Guide in Surrey, and later became Tawny to a pack in Hove. When we moved to Norwich, I became Brown Owl to 4th Wymondham, then to a Horsham pack, 3rd Roffey.

I have so many happy memories – how to light a campfire and put up a bell tent, how to use a hay box (predecessor of a slow cooker!)… I even learnt to make apricot jam for my homemaker
