Placing my shopping bags down on the kitchen floor, I was exhausted. After spending a busy day out with my family on 29 March this year, I couldn’t wait to put my feet up.
My partner Kieran, 28, and I had taken our little boy Charlie, four, to Gulliver’s Valley Resort for a day out.
Making the most of the Easter bank holiday, we’d spent the day swooping on rides and picking up a food shop on the way home.
Getting home at 6pm, after unloading the bags and eating our tea, we were all pretty much ready for bed.
Tucking Charlie into his racing car bed on the second storey of our home, Kieran and I headed up to our attic room.
‘Shall we get an early night?’ I suggested.
