Such is one of the many appealing qualities of one of the hottest trends in bass fishing today: bait finesse system (BFS). For the uninitiated, BFS is a means of presenting lightweight lures, sometimes less than 1/8 ounce, with highly specialized baitcasting reels and light-action rods designed to handle extremely light lines.
Originating in Japan among bank anglers fishing for trout and panfish with micro lures, BFS eventually found its way to the western U.S., where many anglers fish for bass in pressured or ultra-clear water. The trend continues to grow in popularity, with tackle manufacturers rushing to fill the BFS demand. The question
