SPINACH BEET

Also known as perpetual spinach this super-value biennial will grow this year and flower the next, but in the meantime will provide you with bumper harvests of nutrient-packed leaves (vitamins A, K and C). Simply harvest whole plants or pick leaves as required.

As well as sowing outdoors from March to July you can also grow it as a salad leaf when it can be sown at any time of year and grown in trays of compost on the windowsill.
