Almost 1,400 miles covered in my 997 Carrera 4S, driving from my home in Norfolk to the Nürburgring for this year’s controversial N24. Chassis tuning at Center Gravity raised questions, though.

I’m now rather more familiar with my local Porsche Centre’s Head of Service than I really ought to be, a consequence of the amount of time my GTS has been out of action in recent months.

Like Editor Furr, I was also in attendance at this year’s N24, although unlikethe Green Hell by plane. And chauffeur. For a 24hour race lasting, er, seven hours.
