For Ben Kewell, growing up in landlocked Sanderstead, summer visits to the south west coast of England fishing and waterskiing with his dad, not only sparked a fascination for nature and the sea, but offered escapism and inspired him to pursue a career in sports science and coaching whilst regularly travelling and surfing overseas.
