Many will agree that a life without friendship would be a lonely one. We all need friends – whether they are people we turn to for honest advice, those we lean on in difficult times, or those we look to have a good time with. It isn’t about quantity, though, but quality.
Research shows that Brits have fewer than four true friends, on average, but many experts believe that having just a handful of strong friendships is far more beneficial to our wellbeing than a large circle of acquaintances.
