- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is a quick read. I received it free. It is written for female teenagers/youth. The author openly describes her personal struggles with various "secret sins" and how she overcame these with God's help. I felt she went into too much detail but maybe it will help some youth. I liked that she warns readers not to read certain sections if they are likely to be tempted to commit "new" sins due to curiosity. This is something we often overlook when confessing sin/holding each other accountable...it is easy to plant a seed in someone's mind and the enemy can use this to tempt that person to sin. We need to be aware of this.
I didn't warm to the author's style which was casual and with various jokes/attempts at humour. I appreciate what she has tried to do and that she has exposed her personal life to help others trapped in sins that are not often openly discussed. I would only recommend this book for those youth already struggling with the sins mentioned. It may help them and provide practical solutions. The book offers Biblical advice and states clearly that the only true source of help is Jesus.
