About this audiobook
This book consists of 4 titles:
John Locke - Although considered as a pure politician and idealist by some, John Locke’s philosophical views on life have inspired many to take a step back and reassess the nature of governments, property, and human rights. He was an advocate of freedom and liberty. His influence cannot be underestimated when looking at the philosophical debates that have been held since his time, let alone during his lifetime.
Plato - He founded one of the first organized academies in Western civilization. His standings on life and perceptions have been quoted and referred to worldwide for centuries, as well as his main student, Aristotle. He wrote about metaphysics, epistemology, and education.
David Hume - David Hume was a Scottish philosopher and historian. He was also known for his essays and economic analyses. He supported empiricism, skepticism, and naturalism in his own little way, which shed light on life and reasoning in a distinct manner he has propagated in various, ethical ways.
Immanuel Kant - Immanuel Kant was born in the 18th century in Prussia. So actually, he wasn’t originally from Germany. Nonetheless, he set the stage for German philosophy in the following century.

Overall, the audiobook is highly endorsed and beneficial, making it a great choice for those interested in the theme.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5There are lots of crappy audiobooks around, but this is definitely not one of them. Let me think for a minute ... how should I say this? It was professional, simple, and reasonable. With that being said, yep, I do highly endorse this audio book. No doubt about it. I benefitted from this book. It was really an eye-opener. I was wanting to find out more about this issue anyway, so it was actually no coincidence that I ran into this book. I listened to it, and not to my surprise, it was exactly what I was looking for.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's cool to listen to a book like this one. The narrator sounds truly experienced, and the author knows a lot about the theme. In my perspective, it was quite perfect. There might have been a few hardly recognizable errors in there, but they didn't bother me. Whenever you are able to listen to a storyteller who is this great, and about a theme that you have an interest in, you do not care about the other parts. That's the end of the that.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I looked for a Bio on the Author, and while he appears to have written many books, I haven't found his CV or any other references. His work is concerning. He seems to take books like The Republic at face value and suggest that Plato really believed in eugenics or that philosophers should rule the world. I don't agree with his interpretation and would not recommend this book. I give it 2 stars because he does a good job of laying out facts.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's lovely to tune in to a book like this one. This is an impressive audio book. Hence, the 5 star rating I'm publishing. I think the first couple of chapters were my favorite ones, because the whole idea that the subtitle refers to, gets explained. All of the fundamentals are here. Later in the book, more depth gets included, and I think this is what makes it so good.
