Lucy Maude Montgomery (1874-1942) was born on Prince Edward Island, Canada, the setting for Anne of Green Gables. She left to attend college, but returned to Prince Edward Island to teach. In 1911, she married the Reverend Ewan MacDonald. Anne of Green Gables, the first in a series of "Anne" books by Montgomery, was published in 1908 to immediate success and continues to be a perennial favorite.

I have started reading Anne of green gables on paperback multiple times but I just started listening to it on Scribd and it’s a game changer!! The narrators make me feel like I’m really inside the story!

Read the description clearly - the title says book 1-6, but it skips book 4, which has some interesting storyline to it. I wish they would’ve included the books correctly. So if you want to read books 1-3, you’re set. Then you’ll be hunting after that.
I also wish they had the chapters for the start of each book labeled in the description .
