About this audiobook

The moment Lady Emilia sets eyes on the Chevalier d’Aubusson, she knows their fates are tied together. For good or ill, she cannot say. A mysterious aristocrat with a tragic past, the chevalier makes waves with his considerable charm.

But the chevalier is not as he seems. There are cracks in his story, and Emilia never could resist a mystery. Whether he’s a gentleman or a bounder, he might just be the man for her.

I have been enjoying Jessica cale’s novels so much. I decided that I would listen to this one even though I don’t like the reader. as she went on, I began to get used to her, but she put emphasis in the strangest places, and it was distracting. The story was worth it, though.

Ha! The Bounder and the Lady think the worst will happen, but find out all those close to them are supportive and damn what society thinks.

Beautifully written, which can always be expected from this author. The plot is original and delightful, the characters engaging, gently and lovably flawed. The romance is sweet and heartwarming. This is going on my favorites/do read again list. Rated R, in case that matters. I usually read spicier stuff, and while I wouldn't have minded more, it was so wonderfully romantic that I didn't miss it at all. Novella length, but doesn't feel rushed, characters well developed, and so satisfying. Listen - you will be glad you did!

Great story, Narrators voice for the character Seb was confusing, when it switched from his voice being the nobleman to the common man, jnot sure the voice change was suitable I was not convinced, seemed like the narrator was focused more on pronouncing the words accurately rather than getting into the character,. Otherwise a great story and easy listening

Short, sweet, fairy tale like love story. Good narration. Pretty clean.
