    Readers find this title to be a great story with wonderful narration. They love the reconnection to characters in other Smartypants Romance stories. Some readers had issues with common clichéd conflicts and a failure to communicate, but overall they were loving the book. However, some readers lost interest when the blackmailing storyline kicked in. The book is seen as complete up to that point. It is a sweet and hot romance, with Chinese characters that some readers appreciate.

      An okay story, narrators where good, suspense and drama and romance all in one.

      As a Chinese woman myself, im always happy to read a romantic book with Chinese characters. This story certainly had its ups and downs, and certain areas sounded rushed, but all in all a good story

      TRIGGER WARNING (miscarriage)

      In spite of a few pesky issues (which were really just common cliche'd issues with many romances, as far as, conflicts that KEPT raising their heads long after they should have been put to rest, and the good ole reliable "failure to communicate") I was loving this book. Like, REALLY REALLY LOVING IT.

      And theeeen, the whole blackmailing story line kicked in, and I honestly completely lost interest. I haven't seen another review complaining about this though, so maybe it was just me.

      However, the story could have been seen as complete up to that point, so I'm basing my four enthusiastic stars on that. Heck, that part of the book might even have been 4.5 stars for me.

      I'm a sucker for a "childhood friends/first love/second chance" romance, and this one was VERY sweet....and hot! I will most definitely be watching this author for more....
