    The Story:

It took me a while to figure out why I wasn’t glomming onto this story like I did the first book in the series and it’s because the relationship/sisterhood between Danica and Clem was missing. That’s what drew me to the series. Their cousin/sister relationship was strong and though it is still strong they spend a good portion of this book in an argument and it detected from the appeal for me. On the other hand Gavin had me drawn in so the book was saved. From his upbringing to finding out the things that he did (I won’t speak of them because it would be a major spoiler) kept my attention. Also the chemistry between him and Clem didn’t hurt. I’m glad Clem found someone she can lean on because the stress of her trying to fix everything herself was gonna kill her. I respect her for the tough conversations she had to have with her family though I wish she had done it sooner.
