- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An excellent example of blending historical fiction with factual accounts from a Christian perspective.
Not only does Ms Frantz develop her characters in believable ways , she also blends factual history into her books in such a way that one can easily forget that the accounts are fictional!
Also appreciate her giving credit to authors from whom she gleaned information and pointing to the fictional character she developed with that information. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53.5 Stars ~ Not my favorite of the authors books but I did enjoy it. I enjoyed the two main characters and descriptions of place and time. I would have loved for the story to have spent more time with with Tessa and Keturah, the reestablishing of their friendship. Overall, an enjoyable read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was just a really nice story. Not too over laden with Christian verbiage that authors often do to make it “Christian sounding but totally unrealistic as far as a true believer of Jesus acts and talks. A simple but captivating story with good characters. The Christian values and morals strongly and appropriately included. I enjoyed it very much.
