—Christina Dodd

Bestselling author Suzanne Enoch, declares that, “Lynsay Sands hits all the right notes,” and any reader who has ever been touched by the unique Sands romantic magic—be it her delectable Argeneau family vampire novels, her Scottish highlands-set historicals, her marvelous Medieval love stories, or her delightful Regency Era romps—would no doubt enthusiastically agree. The Husband Hunt is a wild and captivating ride, as a rakish lord with no interest in marriage must fight his growing attraction for the enormously popular, exquisite beauty he ignored years earlier when she was merely a bright-eyed, infatuated child.

What our readers think
Readers find this title hard to read and too long, with some boring parts. They also find one of the main characters weak and annoying. However, they appreciate that the story doesn't retell the previous books and has a nice plot with great romance."
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The only reason for me to read this book was the obvious one: I needed to know what happens at the end of this series. Now, having read the other two books (‘The Countess’ and ‘The Heiress’ and reviewed them here and here), I knew what to expect and surprisingly enough, that didn’t bother me much. I was ready for this one and I was thrilled that it took place two years after the other two books. Our heroine thinks herself not just older but wiser, and decides that waiting for the affections of our hero just might be in vain, so she sets out to choose a husband for herself.
And off we go on an adventure , or misadventure, with Lisa and Robert.
Reading this book was like watching a train wreck. I just couldn’t avert my eyes and avoid the obvious from the plot and the identity of the villan to the stupidity of the heroine. Seriously, this chick needed for someone to knock some sence into her! Yet I kept reading it!
This is not my first time reading Lynsay Sands and even though I never read any of her Vampire books, I thought the ones I read (‘The Switch’ and ‘Love is Blind’) were very good, interesting and quite entertaining. I’ve ‘The Deed’ still on my TBR and one of these days will get to it.
If you’re in a mood for some silliness and need a lighthearted read, this will fit the bill. It will make you laugh but the story in itself will have you cringe at times.
In the end, I recommend it only to those that have read the other two books, and if you haven’t yet had a chance to read the other two, don’t start with this one. You’re better off getting the two that I recommended, ‘The Switch’ and ‘Love is Blind’. They were short, well written with sweet romance and witty dialogue, and really fun to read.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The things I didn’t like that it was too long some parts was boring and one of the main characters was weak. She did not even try to help herself until the end and then she end up hurting the one trying to help her. Do I want to listen to it again? No way do I want to be bored all over again.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lisa Madison grew up worshipping Robert her next-door neighbor. When he rescues her from a kidnapping by a brothel owner, it becomes evident that Lisa is in danger. Robert has to protect Lisa while refusing to acknowledge any but brotherly feelings for her. Robert believes that any woman he marries is destined to cheat on him. When Lisa realizes that Robert will not marry her, she begins to look for possible suitors determined to move on with her life. Robert has to deal with his past and protect Lisa while enduring Lisa’s popularity with eligible young men. An enjoyable example of the genre that manages to include a bit of a twist in the end.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Interesting historical romance with an exciting finish but the most of the action moved rather slow and the hero fought the relationship too much. I preferred the other books in this series. Lisa has loved Robert all her life but he thinks of her as a sister so she starts looking for another husband.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I thought this book was filled with names I didn't know how to pronounce, just once I would love to see such books with a dictionary pronunciation so that I can. Even so I loved the book, such intrigue. I can't believe what that girl did to her husband, and yet if I were put in her shoes I would be doing the exact things she did. At least I think I would be.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Sands can be hit it miss for me. Her humor can just hit the mark, or it can be a little too over the top. This one was a little too slapstick for me. While I enjoyed the romance itself, much of the plot had me rolling my eyes.
While I think fans of light comedies, and long-standing Sands fans, will enjoy this, I don't think it was for me. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5better than 2nd since it didn't go over the same stuff. nice plot, great romance
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book was hard to read. One would think reading the previous books would make it easy but it didn’t. Still I’m glad the stories of Christiana and Suzette were not retold. Suzette’s story was annoying like that. Still Lisa was really quite dumb and had me rolling my eyes at her ignorance and inability to think and stay away from trouble.
