About this audiobook
Nancy is utterly enchanted by Mrs. DeVine's fancy movie star memorabilia (that means things from the past). So enchanted, that Nancy decides to adapt the movie star lifestyle at home—and everybody knows that movie stars don't go to be early! Will Nancy's lack of beauty sleep get in the way of Mrs. DeVine's surprise the next day?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Poo poo pee pee. Thanks to Nanas brownies oh yeah oh yeah who!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This story is about a little girl who enjoys spending time with her neighbors and learns all about celebrities and Hollywood. One night, the neighbor lends Nancy a book to take home. At bedtime, Fancy Nancy sneaks and turns on her flashlight to read the book and stays up way past her bedtime. The next day she is SO tired!I would use this book with grades K-3 for the humor, use of synonyms, and because its relatable to children.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I know Fancy Nancy is all the rage now and I had this negative perception that Nancy would be an annoying character that was too vain and set a poor example for little girls to be idolizing.. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that Nancy was just a regular little girl with everyday problems - in this book that she stayed up to late and paid for it by being too tired the next day to do anything fun. Also, the fancy part refers not so much to a little girl who loves to dress up, but to a little girl who likes to use "fancy" vocabulary like "veranda" instead of "porch" - what an excellent way to teach children new words! The illustrations are lovely, and I particularly enjoyed the cameos of old movie stars like Audrey Hepburn.
