Slow in some areas of the story that could have been less. Otherwise a decent portrayal of a woman and her abusive past. I give the author a -10 because there are only two books in this series. This being the 2nd has a hanging ending of the characters and storyline. What was she thinking? Daft bunny to leave readers dangling.

1st and 2nd books in Brave Moments series was published in 2021. On author's official site stands there's 3 book in series. Now it's end of 2023, but no 3rd book. I wished I listened reviews from disappointed readers and save myself some time. There's so much questions left after abrupt end.
